Blue Lake WGA hosts 4-Ball tournament for participating clubs
Another beautiful morning brought out 15 members and one guest – Rick Beauvais. There were six 9-holers and nine 18-hole golfers who played our eclectic format. The winners were:
Nine Holers:
1st with a net 23 1/2: Greg Kepner
2nd with a net 24: Mac McConahy who had the low gross score of 31 and won the #17 CTP at 2″ 5 1/2″
3rd with a net 24 1/2: Paul Castiglione and Don Webb
Eighteen Holers:
1st with a net 28 2/3: Ken Taylor and Chris Williams. Ken also had the low gross score of 31
3rd with a net 32: Ron Parker who also won the #13 CTP at 4′ 3 1/2″
A cold morning limited the number of golfers to nine. There were three 9-holers and six 18-holers who played our Stableford format. The 9-hole winner was Paul Castiglione with a net 24 and a low gross score of 70. The 18-hole golfers were all affected by the cold weather but Chris Williams was able to pull out a win with a score of -1. Ken Taylor and Francisco Cavasos shared second with a -6. Ken Taylor had the low gross score of 77. John Buford won the closest to the pin prize on #17 at 16″ 9″. Steve Collier won the other closest to the pin prize at 15′ 9″.
