Another cold day brought out only 14 golfers – 5 nine holers, 3 putters and 6 18 holers who played our Eclectic format. The winners were:
1st and low gross with a net 29 and gross 30: Bob Tuttle
2nd and closest to the pin with a net 29 2/3: Frank Severn
Frank Severn did provide lunch without any help from his wife (she was on her way back from Japan).
BLGC MGA 9-Holer Report
We had eight of those BLGC MGA World Famous 9-Holers brave the rather wintery feeling day to play the ECLECTIC format.
Here’s how the Herd did today:

1st Place for $3: C.L. Newsome, 39.00 putts;
2nd Place for $2: Don Webb, 32.67 putts; (adjusted for the $5 I found in my golf bag)
3rd Place for $1: Doug Miller, 37.67 putts. (adjusted for the $0 I found in my golf bag)
Golfing Competition (also handicapped):
1st Place for $4: Jim Buckingham, net 30 ½;
2nd Place for $2: Greg Kepner, net 32;
3rd Place for $2: Bob Westbrook, net 34;
4th Place for $1: Mac McConahy, net 35;
5th Place for $1: Paul Castiglione, net 37.
Thanks to Frank Severn for the MGA lunch. Who knew Frank could cook Italian?
And thanks to the Harbison’s for the great cookies. And much appreciation to Don for explaining to Frank how to turn the oven on and set the temperature and getting all things prepared for lunch. Good job guys.
REMINDER: PAY YOUR MGA DUES DURING JANUARY!
That’s it for another great day of 9-Holer golf at good old Blue Lake.
