It started out nice, but it got pretty warm by the time that everyone finished. Even so, we had 21 golfers, 10 nine holers and 11 regular golfers who played out Eclectic format. The inners today were:
1st with a net 28 2/3: Jay Harbison
2nd with a net 30: Larry Anderson
3rd with a net 30 2/3: Bob Tuttle. Bob also had the low gross score of 32
Tom Robinson won closest to the pin.
BLGC MGA 9-Holer Report
There were ten of the BLGC MGA World Famous 9-Holers out for coffee, chattering and golf followed by lunch at the River City Grill. Our putting competitors were Ken, Don and James. Ken was out for big money today as he advanced early and James and Don struggled to catch up. The seven golfing competitors included Greg, John, Tommy, Mac, Tom, Bob and me. Mac, Tommy and Greg all shot gross scores under 40 (even though Tommy was hitting from the “imaginary yellow tees”). You can read all about the “action” of the Herd in the attached file. 20180517 BLGC MGA 9-Holer Report
And for the lunch results: chicken fried steaks won! And cream gravy was second! Onion rings came in third. And fried okra was a close fourth! These old guys know how to celebrate.
And now golf results:
